I still can not accept the fact that Lan Yi left us earlier this month, she left us too soon. Since I found out the news two days ago, I have kept thinking of her, and felt heartache. Her image constantly comes out in front of me, it is so fresh; everything seemed just happened yesterday. I am so sad, and mad about me not able to say final good bye to her.Lan Yi and I shared the same dorm room for two years when we were at Graduate School in BeiDa. I admired her for her special characters. To me, she was always so smart, strong, and swift, and she was so healthy. I have a perfect picture of her in my mind of her visit me in Raleigh around Christmas time 1991 during her trip to Disney World, I can see her smile when she saw me open my door for her, she was so happy; and I still remember the outfit she wore that day. I don't know how to express my deep sorrow, I wish I went to the reunion, I wish I kept more contact with her, I wish I had checked my yahoo email more frequently (or updated my info months ago), so that I could at least say final good bye to her...
