My first introduction to Ellen was during her interview in Cedar Rapids in February. In less than thirty seconds I realized how personable and knowledgeable she was. Succeeding encounters, in March when Ellen joined the team and during business travel in May, only enhanced this initial impression. Every interaction highlighted her enthusiasm, technical expertise, and the willingness to share.

In each life there are a handful of people that influence us in some striking manner, either by their demeanor, personality, knowledge, or integrity. Ellen was one of those individuals; there is no doubt that she was a wonderful addition to Rockwell Collins. I am sorrowful not to have known her longer, but am thankful for the brief opportunity I had. I ask God to grant peace to her husband David, and all of her family and friends. Matt Brace
