It was such a pain to read about Lan Yi's passing. I remember vividly the afternoon of July 2, 2004 when I took Lan Yi's photo for our reunion. The first three shots all resulted in "fuzzy" pictures (a rare event for me). It was so "frustrating" that she almost refused to try another. Lucky, the fourth shot yield a OK photo. I joked afterwards: "Lan Yi, you are too beautiful to make my hands steady!"
